Welcome to the Annual Schaab Memorial Softball Tournament, a yearly co-ed softball game benefiting The Schaab Memorial Foundation.
We are excited to announce that our 5th Annual Tournament raised $14,000! To date, the Schaab Memorial Foundation has made $9,500 in charitable donations on behalf of the 1st and 2nd place teams, and more donations will continue to be made! We cannot thank you all enough for your support!
We have a very exciting announcement for this year's tournament! The goal of the Schaab Foundation has always been to benefit local charities. We are excited to announce some new changes to the tournament this year that will allow for participating teams to help us select some of the local charities that we will be benefiting.
The Schaab Memorial Foundation will make a $5,000 donation to the nonprofit organization of the 1st place team’s choosing on their behalf; as well as a $2,500 donation to the selected non-profit organization of the 2nd place team! **All decisions shall be final and shall be within the sole discretion of the Schaab Memorial Foundation board and the Schaab family.**
Mike Schaab and Nancy Schaab were both tragically murdered as a result of gun violence. Mike was shot and killed when returning from his lunch break at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic on March 8, 2012. Nancy was killed only 16 months earlier on October 24, 2010. This tournament is held each year to honor their memory, as they both loved to play softball.
The tournament is held at the
